This was started about 2 summers ago I think, maybe. I added to it every so often, changing my style as I went.

I started with the outline (duh), and did the eyes . About a year or so later tried a very poor rendition of skin, was appauled at my results and gave up. Around a year later (a few days ago) I started on the skin again, trying different ways to make it work.

This is my *final result. I may go back to it, and add the rest of the face. :P

The eyes were at one point in time blue, but just before I finished it, did a layer over it and made them close to my eye colour, just for fun.

Reference was a picture from google, somewhere.

Nice work! Funny, I did a painting almost like this one a few months ago. But I think Soulful Eyes is much better, because the eyes are more powerfull! Beautiful! :clap:

the nose is a bit too straight but other than that it is perfect (in my eyes)

i don't think the rest of the face is necessary
the eyes are full of emotion
